The
Whimsical Tree houses of Blanchard Wood Sculpture
When
you read the excerpts on the Itsyville page, you'll discover that the
wood spirits didn't always have houses in their world. Just as we
didn't always have their architectural influence in our world . . . ie,
that which you are about to view. And, with the evidence provided, it
couldn't be denied, (at least to the believer) that they were the first
to have houses in trees . . .
Therefore,
to avoid future questions as to the inventor of the treehouse (as a
believer) I would have to give the credit to them. Even to
the eye of the unbeliever, their influence in that area
should be evident.
I
might mention that, in their desire to tell their
story and set straight the record of their contribution to mankind,
they didn't take into consideration that most wood carvers, (including
myself) are straddled with debt! Something that they don't have
in their world. It was never considered by them that constructing
Itsyville might involve such a thing. After all--all they have to do is
imagine and voila! There it is!
Well, the treehouses on this page,
whether they know it or not, helped support that effort, and being that
it is an ongoing project, with no end in sight--you might keep an eye
out here, for other treehouses that might be available for sale . . .
